About the history of this great instrument:

The Bach 42 is one of the most played trombones in the classical range, along with the Conn 88h.

But it also does great in the lower parts of a big band.

Bach is one of the leading American manufacturers of trombones, and has been since 1924.

This trombone was made in Elkhart ( Indiana). The small town is world famous for the incredibly high quality of the instruments made there ( not only by Bach).

This is an instrument from the exhibition. No signs of use visible.

What makes this professional Bach LT42AFG tenor trombone stand out:

    • Dark, powerful sound.
    • The train runs great, no chrome loss.
    • Lightweight train
    • This instrument has a cylindrical pull with .547″ (13.90mm) L- bore. The bell is Ø 8,5″ (216,00mm)
    • Gold brass bell, nickel silver slide.
    • With Bach’s Infinityventil, which sounds great and feels very open.
    • As a lubricant I recommend for this 42 Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort
    • Instrument from exhibition, was only played.

Condition of this 42 after intensive testing:

    • The train runs great. No chrome loss.
    • The tuning slides are freely movable
    • Stop felt is available.
    • Rubber stopper is present.
    • Lacquer is in perfect condition.
    • The valve runs quickly and quietly.
    • The grip points are also in perfect condition.
    • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now immediately optimally playable.

I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone intensively and found it to be in perfect condition. That is why we also give 2 years warranty.

    Included accessories:

    • The instrument comes with the new Bach case, very nice design.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

    • The 42 is the first choice for many professionals for classical music, theater and musical. It can also be used in jazz in lower voices.
    • As a lubricant for this 42 recommend the Yamaha Slide Lubricant or Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort.
    • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

    – Generally not, as mouthpieces are a highly individual matter. If a mouthpiece is included, I write it explicitly in the item description. If you need a mouthpiece, I have a large selection. If you have any questions, please contact me.

    – As a rule, all instruments are overhauled and / or workshop serviced. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not directly playable, I will clearly state this in the item description.

    – I deal in instruments that I am enthusiastic about myself and that I can recommend with a clear conscience. These are almost exclusively professional series from the largest and most exquisite manufacturers.
