On the history of this great instrument:

C.G.Conn is one of America’s leading manufacturers of trombones.

The excellent quality of this American craftsmanship is immediately noticeable!

This instrument is “MADE IN ELKHART” !

It was built in the small village of brass instrument makers in Elkhart, Indiana, USA. Instruments from this Conn era are highly sought after due to superior sound and production quality.

The 48h is one of the most popular Conn models ever. Its crystal clear and very direct sound is appreciated all over the world.

This instrument was built in 1962 and just overhauled by us for you.

What sets this Conn 48h professional jazz trombone apart:

    • Typical Connstellation sound, wonderfully clear and defined.
    • The train works very well. Minimal abrasion.
    • This instrument has a cylindrical rod with a diameter of 12.7 mm / 0.500″. The bell measures 203 mm (8″)
    • Nickel-plated yellow brass bell, gold-plated brass outer slide.
    • As a lubricant, we recommend Yamaha Slide Lubricant for these 48 hours.

Conditions of this 48 hours after the intensive examination:

    • The train runs well. Minimal abrasion.
    • The tuning slide is freely movable.
    • Stop felt is available.
    • The instrument is well maintained overall.
    • The paint is in remarkable condition. Small traces of use are obviously visible.
    • The handle area shows traces of use. The crossbar has a very pleasing round design.
    • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now immediately playable in an optimal way.

    – Generally not, as mouthpieces are a highly individual matter. If a mouthpiece is included, I write it explicitly in the item description. If you need a mouthpiece, I have a large selection. If you have any questions, please contact me.

    – As a rule, all instruments are overhauled and / or workshop serviced. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not directly playable, I will clearly state this in the item description.

    – I deal in instruments that I am enthusiastic about myself and that I can recommend with a clear conscience. These are almost exclusively professional series from the largest and most exquisite manufacturers.
