About the history of this great instrument:

C.G.Conn is one of the leading American manufacturers of trombones.

The excellent quality of this American handmade you feel immediately !

The 88h is one of the most popular instruments for classical music worldwide and can be seen a lot in symphony orchestras.

The instrument was made in 1991 and recently overhauled by us.

What distinguishes this professional Conn 88h tenor trombone:

    • Beautiful, classic sound with clean response.
    • The train is running well. No chrome loss. The base for the parquet protector was removed.
    • Quite rare “LT” train, that is, lightweight train.
    • This instrument has a cylindrical pull ( Single Bore). The bore is .547″ ( 13.89mm), the bell is 8.5″ ( 216mm).
    • The instrument is stripped and polished. It will quickly develop a patina.
    • “Artist Symphony” engraving.
    • As a lubricant, I recommend the Yamaha Slide Lubricant or Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort for this 88h.

Condition of this 88h after intensive testing:

    • The train is running well. No abrasion. Parquet protector is missing.
    • The tuning slides are freely movable
    • Stop felt is available.
    • Water flap is tight.
    • The valve runs quickly and quietly.
    • Instrument is stripped of varnish. A beautiful vintage patina is already forming.
    • The grip points are in good condition.
    • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now immediately playable.
    • I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone intensively and found it to be in perfect condition. That is why we also give 2 years warranty.

    Included accessories:

    • The instrument comes with a heavily used Bach case.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

    • Well playable premium instrument with signs of use at a reasonable price.
    • As a lubricant for this 88h recommend the Yamaha Slide Lubricant or Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort.
    • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.
