Here for sale is a used Yamaha YSL-354 tenor trombone.

About the history of this great instrument:

The traditional Japanese company Yamaha was founded in 1887. Started as an organ manufacturer, the company now makes a huge range of 1965 Instrseit on wind instruments.

Yamaha trombones convince with excellent workmanship, perfect intonation and just as much quality control.

Yamaha artists include Robin Eubanks, Michael Dease, Wycliffe Gordon, Andy Martin, Steve Turre and many others.

The 354 is a very well thought-out, superbly playable tenor trombone with a beautiful sound and good intonation.

It is a few years old and was recently overhauled by us.

What makes this Yamaha trombone stand out:

    • Balanced, beautiful sound in all registers, great action, good intonation.
    • The train is running fine.
    • This instrument has a cylindrical pull with .500″ (12.7mm) S- bore. The bell is Ø 8″ (204,4mm)
    • Brass bell
    • For the train, I recommend Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort.
    • The serial number is 404XXX.

Condition of this 354 after intensive examination:

    • The train is running fine. No chrome loss.
    • The tuning slide is freely movable.
    • Rubber stopper is present.
    • Stop felt is available.
    • The instrument is in good condition.
    • The varnish is well preserved. A few traces of use are of course present.
    • Slight signs of use on the handles.
    • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now immediately optimally playable.

I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone intensively and found it to be in perfect condition. That is why we also give 2 years warranty.

    Included accessories:

    • The instrument comes with the original Yamaha case and mouthpiece.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

    • The 354 is a technically great trombone for beginners, intermediate and advanced players.
    • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.
