For sale here is a used Conn 71h bass trombone. Comparable new instruments cost 4000-5000€.

About the history of this great instrument:

CGConn is one of the leading American manufacturers of trombones.

You can feel the excellent quality of this American handcraft immediately!

This model was built in the small brass instrument making town of Elkhart in Indiana, USA. The instruments from this Conn era are extremely sought after due to their outstanding sound and manufacturing quality.

This 71h is one of the most popular single valve bass trombones.

It was built in 1970 and we recently overhauled it for you.

What distinguishes this professional Conn 71h bass trombone:

  • Round, warm sound.
  • The mechanics work great..
  • The tuning of this bass trombone is Bb/F
  • This instrument has a cylindrical slide with 14.3mm / 0.562" diameter. The bell is 241mm ( 9.5")
  • Yellow brass bell, gold brass slide.
  • Beautiful, large and handmade engraving.
  • I recommend using Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant for this 71h.

Condition of this 71h after intensive testing:

  • The train runs well. No wear.
  • The tuning slides are freely movable
  • Stop spring is present.
  • The instrument is in excellent technical condition.
  • The instrument has been stripped of varnish. It will develop a beautiful vintage patina over time, or it can be polished up again.
  • The handles are in great condition
  • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now perfectly playable.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:

  • The instrument comes in a heavily used Conn case.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

  • The 71h is a great bass trombone that can be used for all styles.
  • I recommend using Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant for this 72h.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to play the instruments in the store?

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

– That's me, Felix Eilers, a professional trombonist and managing director. Instrument maker Danilo Neun works in the workshop and in sales in our shop in Mölln. We are also supported by our partner workshops "Trompetentobi".

Do you also buy instruments?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Is it possible to contact you by telephone?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Are the instruments delivered with a mouthpiece?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, we have been shipping worldwide for many years.

Is it safe to buy from Elbblech?

– My customers say: “Yes!”. On Ebay, for example, I have over 500 positive reviews, 100% of which are positive and 5 stars in all subcategories. We now enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for our services and products.
