HOW TO SHIP YOUR TROMBONE CORRECTLY

Have you sold a trombone or would you like to return an instrument within our 30-day return policy?
No problem !
Here are a few tips to ensure that shipping is worry-free and damage-free.

1. First of all, it is important that the bell is properly protected. Stuff it with bubble wrap and pack the space in front of the bell with bubble wrap. Most cases come with 1-3cm of bubble wrap between the bell and the case padding. The case's own padding is usually not enough , especially for valve or bass trombones. Also remember that no small parts (mouthpiece, marching fork, pins, etc.) can fly around in the case. Secure them in the compartment or send them outside the case!

2. Also secure the slide against movement. It should not be able to move in the slide compartment. Also make sure that the upper part of the bell at the level of the tuning slide bow cannot hit the case.

3. The box itself should be large enough to allow the instrument case to be padded all around. First, add a thick cushion. Strong wrapping paper, packaging flips or strong, high-quality bubble wrap are suitable cushioning materials.

4. The bell side of the case also requires special attention in the shipping box. A thick layer of wrapping paper, packing flips or strong, high-quality bubble wrap is ideal.

5. Fill the box completely with insulation material. Nothing should move in the box. Press the insulation material together a little. There should be no air holes.

6. Close the box. Use parcel tape to do this. Two slightly offset adhesive strips increase security.

7. When the box is closed, move it back and forth to check that the trombone case really cannot move and that everything inside the box is firmly in place. You can feel and hear any movement.
