For sale here is a used Bach LT 42A tenor trombone with Hagmann valve.

About the history of this great instrument:

The Bach 42 is, along with the Conn 88h, one of the most frequently played trombones in the classical field.

But she also does great in the lower voices of a big band.

Bach has been one of the leading American trombone manufacturers since 1924.

This trombone was made in Elkhart (Indiana). The small town is world-famous for the incredibly high quality of the instruments made there (not only by Bach).

We have recently overhauled this instrument for you. New price: €6,984.

What distinguishes this professional Bach LT42A tenor trombone:

  • Dark, powerful sound. Great playability.
  • The train runs fine, no chrome loss.
  • Lightweight train
  • This instrument has a cylindrical slide with .547" (13.90mm) L-bore. The bell is Ø 8.5" (216.00mm)
  • Yellow brass bell, nickel silver slide.
  • With original Hagmann valve, one of the most popular valves for trombone.
  • As a lubricant I recommend for these 42 Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort
  • The trombone is ready for use immediately.

Condition of this 42 after intensive testing:

  • The slide runs well. No loss of chrome. It is a little older than the bell.
  • The tuning slides are freely movable
  • Stop felt is available.
  • Rubber stopper is available.
  • The bell has been stripped of varnish and will develop a beautiful patina over the coming months. Or you can clean it again.
  • The valve runs quickly and quietly.
  • The handles are also in perfect condition.
  • The instrument was recently tested by us and is now ready to play.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:

  • The instrument comes with a very high quality but used Marcus Bona gig bag in blue.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

  • The 42 is the first choice for many professionals for classical music, theater and musicals. It can also be used in lower voices in jazz.
  • I recommend using Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant for these 42.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

That's why Elbblech - safety, quality and guarantees:
