For sale here is a used Conn 88h Artist Symphony tenor trombone.

About the history of this great instrument: CGConn is one of the leading American manufacturers of trombones.

You can feel the excellent quality of this American handcraft immediately!

The 88h is one of the most popular instruments for classical music worldwide and is often seen in symphony orchestras.

The instrument was manufactured around 1973 and was recently overhauled by us.

What distinguishes this professional Conn 88h tenor trombone:
  • Big, classic Conn sound.
  • The train runs well. No wear.
  • This instrument has a cylindrical slide (single bore). The bore is .547" (13.89mm), the bell 8.5" (216mm).
  • The instrument has no varnish and will develop a beautiful patina over the years. Or you can polish it back up.
  • Floral "Elkhart-Style" engraving (But "Made in Abilene", NOT Elkhart)
  • With replaceable leadpipe "The Brasslab T85-3 Hwt"
  • As a lubricant I recommend 88h Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort.
  • Bell probably from around 1973, slide is from 1967.

Condition of this 88h after intensive testing:
  • The train runs well. No wear.
  • The tuning slides are freely movable.
  • Stop felt is available.
  • Water valve is closed.
  • Parquet protectors/rubber stoppers are available.
  • The valve runs quickly and quietly.
  • The bell has been stripped of varnish.
  • The handles are in good condition.
  • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now ready to play.
  • I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:
  • The instrument comes with a used "Eastar" gig bag.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:
  • Great playable premium instrument with replaceable lead pipe.
  • I recommend using Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant for this 88h.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

That's why Elbblech - safety, quality and guarantees:

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to play the instruments in the store?

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

– That's me, Felix Eilers, a professional trombonist and managing director. Instrument maker Danilo Neun works in the workshop and in sales in our shop in Mölln. We are also supported by our partner workshops "Trompetentobi".

Do you also buy instruments?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Is it possible to contact you by telephone?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Are the instruments delivered with a mouthpiece?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, we have been shipping worldwide for many years.

Is it safe to buy from Elbblech?

– My customers say: “Yes!”. On Ebay, for example, I have over 500 positive reviews, 100% of which are positive and 5 stars in all subcategories. We now enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for our services and products.
