For sale here is a used Bach 50B3 bass trombone with 2 valves. The instrument has a yellow brass bell. New price: 7770€

About the history of this great instrument: The Bach 50 is a great all-round bass trombone. With its powerful, big sound, it is always welcome in a symphony orchestra, wind orchestra or big band.

Bach has been one of the leading American trombone manufacturers since 1924.

This trombone was made in Elkhart (Indiana). The small town is world-famous for the incredibly high quality of the instruments made there (not only by Bach).

It was built around 1971 and recently overhauled by us.

What distinguishes this professional Bach bass trombone:
  • Big, dark and powerful sound. Great to play!
  • The train runs well. No chrome loss.
  • This instrument has a cylindrical slide with .562" (14.28mm) L-bore. The bell is Ø 9.5" (241mm)
  • Yellow brass bell, yellow brass outer slide.
  • For these 50 I recommend Yamaha Slide Lubricant or Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort.
  • The serial number is 12XXX, circa 1971.

Condition of these 50 after intensive testing:
  • The train runs well. Some wear.
  • The tuning slides are freely movable.
  • Stop felt is available.
  • Rubber stopper is available.
  • The instrument is in good technical condition.
  • The independent valves run quickly and quietly and are freshly adjusted. Tuning Bb/F/Gb/D
  • The instrument has the popular "split triggers", i.e. pressure plates for the middle finger and thumb.
  • The paint is heavily used.
  • The handles are also in good condition.
  • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now perfectly playable.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:
  • The instrument comes in a black case.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:
  • The 50 is the first choice for many professionals for classical music, big band, theater and musicals.
  • I recommend Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant for these 50.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to play the instruments in the store?

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

– That's me, Felix Eilers, a professional trombonist and managing director. Instrument maker Danilo Neun works in the workshop and in sales in our shop in Mölln. We are also supported by our partner workshops "Trompetentobi".

Is it possible to contact you by telephone?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Are the instruments delivered with a mouthpiece?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, we have been shipping worldwide for many years.

Is it safe to buy from Elbblech?

– My customers say: “Yes!”. On Ebay, for example, I have over 500 positive reviews, 100% of which are positive and 5 stars in all subcategories. We now enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for our services and products.
