For sale here is a used Bach LT42BOFG tenor trombone with Meinlschmidt Open Flow valve.

About the history of this great instrument:

The Bach 42 is, along with the Conn 88h, one of the most frequently played trombones in the classical field.

But she also does great in the lower voices of a big band.

Bach has been one of the leading American trombone manufacturers since 1924.

This trombone was made in Elkhart (Indiana). The small town is world-famous for the incredibly high quality of the instruments made there (not only by Bach).

This is an instrument from the exhibition. It is as new and in its original packaging. No visible signs of wear. New price: €6,563.

What distinguishes this professional Bach LT42BOFG tenor trombone:

  • Dark, powerful sound. Great playability.
  • The train runs fine, no chrome loss.
  • This instrument has a cylindrical slide with .547" (13.90mm) L-bore. The bell is Ø 8.5" (216.00mm)
  • Gold brass bell, nickel silver LT slide (lightweight slide)
  • With Meinlschmidt's original "Open Flow" valve
  • As a lubricant I recommend for these 42 Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort
  • Instrument from exhibition, only played.

Condition of this LT42BOFG after intensive testing:

  • The train runs great. No chrome loss.
  • The tuning slides are freely movable
  • Stop felt is available.
  • Rubber stopper is available.
  • Paint is in perfect condition.
  • The valve runs quickly and quietly.
  • The handles are also in perfect condition.
  • The instrument was recently tested by us and is now ready to play.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:

  • The instrument comes with the new Bach case, very nice design.
  • Includes slide grease and matching Bach mouthpiece

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

  • The 42 is the first choice for many professionals for classical music, theater and musicals. It can also be used in lower voices in jazz.
  • I recommend using Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant for these 42.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to play the instruments in the store?

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

Is it possible to contact you by telephone?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Are the instruments delivered with a mouthpiece?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, we have been shipping worldwide for many years.

Is it safe to buy from Elbblech?

– My customers say: “Yes!”. On Ebay, for example, I have over 500 positive reviews, 100% of which are positive and 5 stars in all subcategories. We now enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for our services and products.
