About the history of this great instrument: CGConn is one of the leading American manufacturers of trombones.

This model was built in the small brass instrument making town of Elkhart in Indiana, USA. The instruments from this Conn era are extremely sought after due to their outstanding sound and manufacturing quality.

You can feel the excellent quality of this American handcraft immediately!

The 24H is one of Conn's answers to King's hugely successful 2b.

A beautiful sound, simple high registers and easy playability characterize this instrument.

This instrument was built in 1930 and has recently been overhauled by us for you.

What distinguishes this professional Conn 24h jazz trombone:

  • Easy to play, beautiful jazz sound.
  • Gold-plated instrument
  • Incredibly beautiful, huge, handmade engraving. This was probably made by the Stenberg brothers (see Google).
  • This instrument has a cylindrical slide with 12.3mm / 0.485" diameter. The bell is 187mm (7")
  • Built in 1930, recently overhauled by us, ready to play.
  • "Ballroom" model. These trombones have the bell a little closer to the player. This makes it easier to handle the plunger / wow-wow mute and to hear yourself better.

Condition of this 24h after intensive testing:

  • The move is playable, but of course not comparable to a modern move. Some wear. Modern construction, the shoe is not attached.
  • You should definitely use Trombotine & water spray as a lubricant.
  • The tuning slide is freely movable.
  • The gold plating is in great condition. The outer bell was sandblasted by Conn for a perfect matte finish. The inner bell is high gloss. Amazing!
  • Stop felt is available.
  • The water valve is closed.
  • The handles are in good condition.
  • The instrument was recently overhauled.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:

  • The instrument comes with the original Conn case in used condition.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

  • This 24h is a great jazz trombone and is highly recommended, especially for first voices. Or for the museum!
  • I recommend Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to play the instruments in the store?

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

– That's me, Felix Eilers, a professional trombonist and managing director. Instrument maker Danilo Neun works in the workshop and in sales in our shop in Mölln. We are also supported by our partner workshops "Trompetentobi".

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Is it possible to contact you by telephone?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Are the instruments delivered with a mouthpiece?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, we have been shipping worldwide for many years.

Is it safe to buy from Elbblech?

– My customers say: “Yes!”. On Ebay, for example, I have over 500 positive reviews, 100% of which are positive and 5 stars in all subcategories. We now enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for our services and products.
