About the history of this great instrument: CGConn is one of the leading American manufacturers of trombones.

You can feel the excellent quality of this American handcraft immediately!

The 4H is Conn's answer to King's hugely successful 2b.

A beautiful sound, simple high registers and easy playability characterize this instrument.

This instrument was built in 1952 and has recently been overhauled by us for you.

What distinguishes this professional Conn 4h jazz trombone:

  • Easy to play, beautiful jazz sound.
  • Silver-plated yellow brass bell, silver-plated brass outer slide.
  • The inner bell was once gold-plated, but the gold plating can only be guessed at.
  • Large, beautiful and handmade engraving. Probably engraved by the Stenberg brothers.
  • This instrument has a cylindrical slide with 12.3mm / 0.485" diameter. The bell is 187mm (7")
  • Built in 1952, freshly overhauled by us, ready to play.

Condition of these 4 hours after intensive testing:

  • The train runs great, no chrome loss.
  • Small patch on the outer bow.
  • The tuning slide is freely movable.
  • The silver plating is in great condition.
  • Stop felt is available.
  • Rubber stopper/parquet protector is available.
  • The water valve is closed.
  • The handles are in good condition.
  • The instrument has recently been overhauled and is now in perfect playable condition.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:

  • The instrument comes with a simple, used case or gig bag.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

  • This 4h is a great jazz trombone and an absolute recommendation, especially for first voices.
  • I recommend Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to play the instruments in the store?

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

– That's me, Felix Eilers, a professional trombonist and managing director. Instrument maker Danilo Neun works in the workshop and in sales in our shop in Mölln. We are also supported by our partner workshops "Trompetentobi".

Do you also buy instruments?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Is it possible to contact you by telephone?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Are the instruments delivered with a mouthpiece?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, we have been shipping worldwide for many years.

Is it safe to buy from Elbblech?

– My customers say: “Yes!”. On Ebay, for example, I have over 500 positive reviews, 100% of which are positive and 5 stars in all subcategories. We now enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for our services and products.
