For sale here is a used Conn 6H jazz trombone.

About the history of this great instrument:

CGConn is one of the leading American manufacturers of trombones.

You can feel the excellent quality of this American handcraft immediately!
This model was built in the small brass instrument making town of Elkhart in Indiana, USA. The instruments from this Conn era are extremely sought after due to their outstanding sound and manufacturing quality.

The 6H is one of the most legendary jazz trombones. It was played by many legendary players, including Frank Rosolino, the young JJ Johnson and Bart van Lier before he got his own model.

This instrument was built in 1961, a great year.

What distinguishes this professional Conn 6h Artist jazz trombone:

  • Clear attacks, full and warm sound, good intonation.
  • Brass bell, gold brass outer slide.
  • Beautiful, large engraving
  • This instrument has a cylindrical slide with 12.7mm / 0.500" diameter. The bell is 203mm (8")
  • Built in 1961, freshly overhauled by us, ready to play.

Condition of these 6 hours after intensive testing:

  • The train runs well. No chrome loss.
  • The tuning slide is freely movable.
  • The paint is in good, used condition.
  • Felt stop is available
  • "Conn" counterweight.
  • The handles are also in good condition
  • The instrument has recently been overhauled and is now in perfect playable condition.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:

  • The instrument comes with the original "Conn" case.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

  • The 6h is one of the best jazz trombones you can buy. A great instrument for jazz, pop, big band or musical.
  • I recommend using Yamaha Slide Lubricant or Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant for these 6 hours.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to play the instruments in the store?

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

– That's me, Felix Eilers, a professional trombonist and managing director. Instrument maker Danilo Neun works in the workshop and in sales in our shop in Mölln. We are also supported by our partner workshops "Trompetentobi".

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Is it possible to contact you by telephone?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Are the instruments delivered with a mouthpiece?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, we have been shipping worldwide for many years.

Is it safe to buy from Elbblech?

– My customers say: “Yes!”. On Ebay, for example, I have over 500 positive reviews, 100% of which are positive and 5 stars in all subcategories. We now enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for our services and products.
