This model was built in the small brass instrument making town of Elkhart in Indiana, USA. The instruments from this Conn era are extremely sought after due to their outstanding sound and manufacturing quality.

This 72h is one of the most popular single valve bass trombones.

It was built in 1962 and we recently overhauled it.

What distinguishes this professional Conn 72h bass trombone:

• Crisp, fat sound.

• The single-valve bass trombone has 2 valve levers. The second lever can be used to extend the tuning slide by a semitone. The tuning is Bb/F/E
• This setup was especially popular in LA when two-valve bass trombones were still uncommon.
• There are two trains you can choose from. The original train (1962) has some wear and tear, the other has been mostly rebuilt.
• This instrument has a cylindrical slide with 14.3mm / 0.562" diameter. The bell is 241mm ( 9.5")
• Nickel-plated brass bell (modeled on the Connstellation 48h), gold brass slide.
• I recommend using Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant for this 72h.

Condition of these 72h after intensive testing:

• The trains run well. The 1962 train has some wear and the other has some parts replaced. You can select one (1) train.
• The tuning slides are freely movable
• Stop felt is available.
• Rubber stopper / parquet protector is available.
• The instrument is overall well maintained.
• The surface is in great condition.
• The handles are also in great condition
• The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now perfectly playable.
