About the history of this great instrument:

King is one of the world's largest and most recognized manufacturers of brass instruments.

The trombone offered here is an instrument "Made in USA".

You can immediately see and feel the high quality of workmanship of the instrument.

This beautiful instrument is from the "HNWhite" era, it is from 1960. Instruments from this period are incredibly sought after due to their manufacturing and sound quality.

Many great "trombone heroes" such as JJ Johnson, Kai Winding, Ed Neumeister, Adrian Mears, Jiggs Whigham and many others play a King.

It was built around 1961 and we recently overhauled it. It is in great condition!

The new price of this instrument is currently 3,673€.

What distinguishes this professional King 2b Liberty jazz trombone:

  • The trombone responds very quickly, bindings are as light as a feather, great height.
  • The instrument is in very good, used condition.
  • The train runs well. Minimal wear
  • The slide is conical, with a 12.22mm/ .481" //12.47mm/ .491" bore. The bell is 187mm/ 7 3/8" wide.
  • Yellow brass bell, nickel silver slide.
  • Beautiful, large and handmade engraving
  • As a lubricant I recommend 2b Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort.
  • The serial number is 368XXX (ca. 1961).

Condition of this 2b Liberty after intensive examination:

  • The train runs well. Minimal wear.
  • The tuning slide is freely movable
  • Stop felt is available.
  • Rubber stopper / parquet protector is available.
  • The instrument is in good condition.
  • The paint is in good condition. Of course there are a few signs of wear.
  • With the black "King" counterweight
  • The handles are also in great condition.
  • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now perfectly playable.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:

  • The instrument comes in the very nice faux "crocodile" case from King from that era. Someone has glued some extra padding into it.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

  • The 2b is a perfect instrument for jazz, big band and pop that meets the highest demands.
  • I recommend using 2b Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to play the instruments in the store?

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

– That's me, Felix Eilers, a professional trombonist and managing director. Instrument maker Danilo Neun works in the workshop and in sales in our shop in Mölln. We are also supported by our partner workshops "Trompetentobi".

Is it possible to contact you by telephone?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Are the instruments delivered with a mouthpiece?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, we have been shipping worldwide for many years.

Is it safe to buy from Elbblech?

– My customers say: “Yes!”. On Ebay, for example, I have over 500 positive reviews, 100% of which are positive and 5 stars in all subcategories. We now enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for our services and products.
