About the history of this great instrument:

King is one of the world's largest and most recognized manufacturers of brass instruments.

The trombone offered here is an instrument "Made in USA".

You can immediately see and feel the high quality of workmanship of the instrument.

This beautiful instrument is from the "HNWhite" era, it is from 1958. Instruments from this period are incredibly sought after due to their manufacturing and sound quality.

Many great "trombone heroes" such as JJ Johnson, Kai Winding, Ed Neumeister, Adrian Mears, Jiggs Whigham and many others play a King.

It was built around 1958 and we recently overhauled it. It is in great condition!

What distinguishes this professional King 2b Silversonic valve trombone:

  • A perfect valve trombone for big band, lead or solo. A real monster!
  • The bell is made of pure sterling silver. The inner bell is gold-plated. The same goes for the engraving.
  • The dream instrument for every valve trombonist, for all those switching from the trumpet, or trombonists who want to play quickly :)
  • Pure, decadent luxury. There is no more bling bling than this!
  • The instrument is in fantastic condition for its age.
  • The machine runs great.
  • The bell is 187mm/ 7 3/8" wide.
  • Sterling silver bell, yellow brass valve part
  • Beautiful, large and handmade engraving with gold plated inlays.
  • The 2b bell can of course be easily combined with King 2b slides.
  • The serial number is 355XXX (ca. 1958).

Condition of this 2b Silversonic after intensive testing:

  • The machine runs great.
  • The trains can move freely.
  • All felts are present.
  • The instrument is in good to good condition.
  • The varnish is in excellent condition for its age. There are a few minor cosmetic blemishes, such as a slight discoloration about 2cm in front of the bell rim.
  • With beautiful 3-part "King" counterweight.
  • The handles are also in great condition.
  • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now perfectly playable.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:

  • The instrument comes in a very nice silvery imitation crocodile leather case. This has a compartment for both the valve part and a hand pull. Only one valve part is included.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

  • The 2b is a perfect instrument for jazz, big band and pop that meets the highest demands.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to play the instruments in the store?

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

Is it possible to contact you by telephone?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Are the instruments delivered with a mouthpiece?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, we have been shipping worldwide for many years.

Is it safe to buy from Elbblech?

– My customers say: “Yes!”. On Ebay, for example, I have over 500 positive reviews, 100% of which are positive and 5 stars in all subcategories. We now enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for our services and products.
