For sale here is a used King 3b Concert Silversonic trombone. A brilliant jazz instrument!

About the history of this great instrument:

King is one of the world's largest and most recognized manufacturers of brass instruments. The trombone offered here is an instrument “Made in USA”. You can immediately see and feel the high quality of workmanship of the instrument. Many great “trombone heroes” such as JJ Johnson, Kai Winding, Ed Neumeister, Adrian Mears, Jiggs Whigham and many others play a King. It was built around 1967 and recently overhauled by us. One of the most popular jazz instruments ever from an excellent year of manufacture!

What distinguishes this professional King 3b Silversonic:

  • Assertive, radiant jazz sound.
  • The train runs great. Slight discoloration at the lower end.
  • The 60's Silversonics are known for their fantastic sound and playability and are extremely sought after.
  • The slide is cylindrical with a 12.9mm/ .508″ bore. The bell is 203mm/ 8″ wide.
  • Sterling silver bell with gold-plated inner bell, nickel silver outer slide.
  • As a lubricant I recommend 3b Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort.
  • The serial number on the bell is 421XXX, which is approximately 1967.

Condition of this 3b Silversonic after intensive testing:

  • The train runs well. Discoloration is visible.
  • The tuning slide is freely movable
  • Stop felt is available.
  • Rubber stopper / parquet protector is available.
  • The instrument is in good, used condition. Signs of use are of course visible.
  • 1960s engraving with "HNWhite / Cleveland, Ohio"
  • The paint is in good condition. There are of course a few scratches etc.
  • The handles are also in good condition.
  • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now perfectly playable.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:

  • The instrument comes in a beautiful, sought-after King imitation crocodile leather case.
  • The 3b is THE jazz trombone of all, here in the luxury version Silversonic.
  • I recommend using 3b Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to play the instruments in the store?

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

– That's me, Felix Eilers, a professional trombonist and managing director. Instrument maker Danilo Neun works in the workshop and in sales in our shop in Mölln. We are also supported by our partner workshops "Trompetentobi".

Do you also buy instruments?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Is it possible to contact you by telephone?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Are the instruments delivered with a mouthpiece?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, we have been shipping worldwide for many years.

Is it safe to buy from Elbblech?

– My customers say: “Yes!”. On Ebay, for example, I have over 500 positive reviews, 100% of which are positive and 5 stars in all subcategories. We now enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for our services and products.
