For sale here is a used King 3b Concert Silversonic trombone. A brilliant jazz instrument!

About the history of this great instrument:

King is one of the world's largest and most recognized manufacturers of brass instruments. The trombone offered here is an instrument “Made in USA”. You can immediately see and feel the high quality of workmanship of the instrument. Many great “trombone heroes” such as JJ Johnson, Kai Winding, Ed Neumeister, Adrian Mears, Jiggs Whigham and many others play a King. It was built around 1973 and recently overhauled by us. The current RRP for this model is €3,997.

What distinguishes this professional King 3b valve trombone:

  • Agile, warm jazz sound
  • The valves are running well.
  • The bore is cylindrical with 12.9mm/ .508″. The bell is 203mm/ 8″ wide.
  • Yellow brass bell
  • The year of construction must be around 1973.

Condition of this 3b after intensive testing:

  • The valves are running well.
  • The tuning slides are freely movable
  • The instrument is in used but ready-to-use condition.
  • With so-called "Loopey" or "Ropey" engraving
  • The paint shows signs of wear.
  • The handles are also in great condition.
  • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now perfectly playable.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:

  • The instrument will be delivered to you in excellent packaging. For shipping, I will include a simple, heavily used gig bag that should be replaced for everyday use.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

  • The 3b is a great playing valve trombone that is ideal for jazz.
  • I recommend Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant for this 48h.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to play the instruments in the store?

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

– That's me, Felix Eilers, a professional trombonist and managing director. Instrument maker Danilo Neun works in the workshop and in sales in our shop in Mölln. We are also supported by our partner workshops "Trompetentobi".

Do you also buy instruments?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Is it possible to contact you by telephone?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Are the instruments delivered with a mouthpiece?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, we have been shipping worldwide for many years.

Is it safe to buy from Elbblech?

– My customers say: “Yes!”. On Ebay, for example, I have over 500 positive reviews, 100% of which are positive and 5 stars in all subcategories. We now enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for our services and products.
