For sale here is a used Kühnl & Hoyer 139G tenor trombone.

About the history of this great instrument: Kühnl & Hoyer is a well-known German manufacturer of brass instruments.

Since 1948, instruments have been manufactured under this name in Markt Erlbach and have an excellent reputation worldwide. The craftsmanship and sound quality of these instruments is impressive.

Artists who play Kühnl instruments include Bart van Lier, Till Brönner, Branimir Slokar, Edgar Manyak, Ilja Reijngoud and many others.

The instrument was built in the late 1980s and has recently been overhauled by us.
This instrument won the German Musical Instrument Award in 1991.

The direct successor is the .547 model.

What distinguishes this professional Kühnl tenor trombone:
  • Warm, elegant sound. Easy response.
  • The train runs great. No wear.
  • This instrument has a cylindrical slide (single bore). The bore is .547" (13.9mm), the bell 8.66" (220mm).
  • The instrument has been stripped of varnish and has developed a beautiful patina.
  • With small, simple engraving
  • Gold brass bell, nickel silver outer slide tubes.
  • As a lubricant I recommend 139G Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort.

Condition of this 139G after intensive testing:
  • The train runs well. No wear.
  • The tuning slide is freely movable.
  • Stop felt is available.
  • Water valve is closed.
  • Parquet protectors/rubber stoppers are available.
  • The instrument has been stripped of paint.
  • The handles are in good condition.
  • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now ready to play.
  • I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:
  • The instrument comes with a simple gig bag.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:
  • Great, high-quality trombone, particularly suitable for orchestras, symphonic wind orchestras or the lower voices in a big band.
  • I recommend using 139G Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to play the instruments in the store?

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

– That's me, Felix Eilers, a professional trombonist and managing director. Instrument maker Danilo Neun works in the workshop and in sales in our shop in Mölln. We are also supported by our partner workshops "Trompetentobi".

Is it possible to contact you by telephone?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Are the instruments delivered with a mouthpiece?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, we have been shipping worldwide for many years.

Is it safe to buy from Elbblech?

– My customers say: “Yes!”. On Ebay, for example, I have over 500 positive reviews, 100% of which are positive and 5 stars in all subcategories. We now enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for our services and products.
