For sale here is a used Lätzsch SL-270 model Kuhn tenor trombone. The instrument costs 4670€ new in this configuration.

About the history of this great instrument:

The traditional German manufacturer Lätzsch from Bremen is now world-famous for its craftsmanship.
The company was founded by Herbert Lätzsch in 1949 and taken over by Hermann Nienaber in 1979.
The "Kuhn" model is a real classic from the Lätzsch catalogue and is still being built.

This instrument was recently overhauled by us.

What distinguishes this professional tenor trombone:

  • Beautiful, dark sound, very typical of German construction.
  • Gold brass bell, gold brass outer slide.
  • Beautiful engraving with the coats of arms.
  • With nickel silver butterfly wreath
  • Chrome-plated handles.
  • Long water flap lever
  • This instrument has a conical slide with 12.4 mm / 12.9 mm - 0.488” / 0.508” diameter. The bell is 203mm ( 8")
  • Freshly overhauled by us, ready to play.

Condition of this Lätzsch after intensive testing:

  • The train runs well. It has some wear.
  • The tuning slide is freely movable.
  • Overall the paint is in good condition.
  • Felt stop is available
  • On request free of charge (please write briefly) with a counterweight (third party manufacturer).
  • The handles are in good condition. They are chrome-plated and therefore indestructible.
  • The instrument has recently been overhauled and is now in perfect playable condition.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:

  • The instrument comes with a black case.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

  • The "Modell Kuhn" is one of the best trombones of German design. Great playability, good intonation and the typical sound of trombones of German design are convincing across the board.
  • I recommend Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant for this trombone.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to play the instruments in the store?

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

– That's me, Felix Eilers, a professional trombonist and managing director. Instrument maker Danilo Neun works in the workshop and in sales in our shop in Mölln. We are also supported by our partner workshops "Trompetentobi".

Do you also buy instruments?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Is it possible to contact you by telephone?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Are the instruments delivered with a mouthpiece?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, we have been shipping worldwide for many years.

Is it safe to buy from Elbblech?

– My customers say: “Yes!”. On Ebay, for example, I have over 500 positive reviews, 100% of which are positive and 5 stars in all subcategories. We now enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for our services and products.
