About the history of this great instrument:

The legendary US manufacturer Martin was particularly known for this model, the "Committee". Various well-known professional trombonists were appointed to a committee to find out what people really wanted from the instrument.

The result is this great jazz trombone. This is the particularly popular "Handcraft" version.

The trombone was built around 1940 and was recently overhauled by us.

Comparable new instruments cost 3000-4000€.

What distinguishes this professional Martin jazz trombone:

  • Direct response, brilliant jazz sound, beautifully crafted.
  • The instrument is in particularly good condition considering its age.
  • The train runs fine. No chrome loss.
  • The slide is cylindrical, with a 12.3mm/ .485mm bore. The bell is 178mm/ 7" wide.
  • Yellow brass bell, yellow brass slide.
  • Beautiful, large and handmade engraving
  • I recommend Martin Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant.
  • The serial number is 135XXX (ca. 1940).

Condition of this Martin after intensive examination:

  • The train runs well. No wear.
  • The tuning slide is freely movable
  • Stop felt is available.
  • Rubber stopper / parquet protector is available.
  • The instrument is in good condition.
  • The paint is in good condition overall. There are of course signs of wear.
  • The handles are also in great condition.
  • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now perfectly playable.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:

  • The instrument comes in the very beautiful red-brown French-style case from King.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

  • The Martin Committee Handcraft is a perfect instrument for jazz, big band and pop that meets the highest demands.
  • I recommend Martin Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to play the instruments in the store?

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

– That's me, Felix Eilers, a professional trombonist and managing director. Instrument maker Danilo Neun works in the workshop and in sales in our shop in Mölln. We are also supported by our partner workshops "Trompetentobi".

Do you also buy instruments?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Is it possible to contact you by telephone?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Are the instruments delivered with a mouthpiece?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, we have been shipping worldwide for many years.

Is it safe to buy from Elbblech?

– My customers say: “Yes!”. On Ebay, for example, I have over 500 positive reviews, 100% of which are positive and 5 stars in all subcategories. We now enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for our services and products.
