For sale here is a used Nothnagel valve trombone.

About the history of this instrument:

This instrument was built by the company "Böhm & Meinl" in Geretsried for the company Nothnagel in the 1960s. It was tested in our workshop.

What distinguishes this valve trombone:

  • The instrument has a large, dark sound reminiscent of a euphonium
  • The tuning is Bb
  • 3 rotary valves
  • Small shaft
  • Finger hook
  • 23cm bell
  • Decorative reinforcement plate
  • Plug connection between bell and valve part.

Condition of this emergency nail after intensive testing:

  • The valves are running well
  • The paint is in very good condition.
  • All 3 tuning slides are freely movable.
  • There is no water valve; the pipes are pulled out for drainage.
  • The handles are also in good condition.
  • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is immediately playable.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:

  • The instrument comes without a case or mouthpiece. It will of course be packaged securely.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

  • This valve trombone is well suited for beginners or for slide trombonists who would like to get to grips with valves.
  • The valves should be oiled regularly.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.
