For sale here is a used Olds Super tenor trombone with a small shank. The instrument has a gold brass bell.

About the history of this great instrument:

Frank Ellsworth (FE) Olds was born in Medina, New York in 1861.

After working for Conn for some time, he began selling trombones in his own business in 1912.

Among the most famous Olds employees were Foster Reynolds and Zig Kanstul, both of whom were successful instrument makers under their own names.

The most popular Olds trombone models include the "Recording", "Super", "Opera" and the "P-22".

The instrument offered here was built in 1956 and has recently been overhauled by us for you.

What distinguishes this professional Olds trombone:

  • Super punchy, snotty trombone sound, great for big band or funk.
  • Beautiful patina on the bell

  • This instrument has a conical slide with .485"/12.32mm//.500"/12.7mm S-bore. The bell is Ø 7.5" (191mm)

Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. – As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.
