For sale here is a used Reynolds Contempora Stereophonic bass trombone.

About the history of this great instrument:

FAReynolds (*1884; †1960) was an American instrument maker who played a significant role in the development of American brass instruments.

After his early days with JWYork and HNWhite (later King), he founded the FA Reynolds Company in 1936.

Among other things, he was also involved in the development of the Martin Committee series.

Today, the company's bass trombones in particular have a very good reputation.

This Contempora bass trombone was built in 1971 and has recently been overhauled by us for you.

What distinguishes this professional contempora:

  • Dark, warm sound with a lot of soul.
  • The train runs well. Minimal wear.
  • This instrument has a cylindrical slide with 14.4mm/ 0.565" diameter. The bell is 254mm (10")
  • Bronze bell, yellow brass slide.
  • I recommend Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant for this big band bass trombone.
  • Offset valves. Tuning is Bb/F/D.

Condition of this Contempora after intensive examination:

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.
