For sale here is a used Throja Weite 2 tenor trombone.

About the history of this great instrument:

In 1996, Thomas Robert Jahn began developing his own line of German trombones in collaboration with professional Berlin trombonists. The greatest importance was placed on physical-acoustic principles in order to produce a pure intonation and the dark "German" sound. 1998 The first model to be introduced was the bass trombone "THROJA".

We recently overhauled this trombone. New price is €6,489.

What distinguishes this professional Throja tenor trombone:

  • Beautiful, dark and warm sound, great for higher trombone voices, also an excellent solo trombone.
  • This model corresponds to a "width 2". In the early days, the instrument was labeled "Tenor-S".
  • Olaf Ott , the world-famous solo trombonist of the Berlin Philharmonic, also plays a "Throja".
  • From the collection of a German professional orchestra. Well-maintained and regularly serviced instrument.
  • The train runs well. No chrome loss.
  • With replaceable mouthpiece
  • The bell has a diameter of 8.66" (220mm). The slide is 12.85mm/0.506"//13.28mm/0.523"
  • The single-valve tenor trombone has the tuning Bb/F
  • With Zirnbauer valve
  • Beautiful, handmade engraving.
  • As a lubricant I recommend Throja Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort.

Condition of this Throja after intensive examination:

  • The train runs well. No chrome loss.
  • The tuning slides are freely movable.
  • Rubber stopper / parquet protector is available.
  • Stop spring is present.
  • Water valve is closed.
  • The valve runs quickly and quietly.
  • The paint is in good condition. Slight signs of wear.
  • The handles are in good condition.
  • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now ready to play.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:

  • The instrument comes with a gig bag.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

  • Beautiful Throja trombone, known for example from the Berlin Philharmonic.
  • I recommend Throja Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort as a lubricant.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.
