About the history of this great instrument:

The Bach 16 is one of the most popular trombones for jazz and pop music.

It has a warm, dark sound with a lot of character.

Bach has been one of the leading American trombone manufacturers since 1924.

This trombone was made in Elkhart (Indiana). The small town is world-famous for the incredibly high quality of the instruments made there (not only by Bach).

It was built around 2019 and we recently overhauled it for you.

What distinguishes this professional Bach 16 tenor trombone:

  • Characterful, dark jazz sound and easy playability.
  • The train runs fine. No chrome loss.
  • This instrument has a conical slide with 12.57mm/0.495"//12.9mm/0.508" S-bore. The bell is Ø 7.5" (190mm)
  • Yellow brass bell, yellow brass outer slide.
  • As a lubricant I recommend Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort for these 16.
  • The serial number is 206XXX, circa 2019.

Condition of these 19 after intensive examination:

  • The train runs great. No chrome loss.
  • The paint is in great condition with very little signs of wear.
  • The tuning slide is freely movable.
  • The water valve is tight and works perfectly.
  • Stop felt is available.
  • Rubber stopper is available.
  • The instrument was always treated with care.
  • The handles are also in good condition.
  • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now perfectly playable.

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?
