For sale here is a used Yamaha YSL-645 tenor trombone. Comparable new instruments cost 3000-4000€.

About the history of this great instrument:

The traditional Japanese company Yamaha was founded in 1887. It started as an organ manufacturer, but the company now produces a huge range of instruments, including wind instruments since 1965.

Yamaha trombones impress with their excellent workmanship, perfect intonation and equally high quality control.

Yamaha artists include Robin Eubanks, Michael Dease, Wycliffe Gordon, Andy Martin, Steve Turre and many others.

The YSL-645 is an excellent sounding instrument. Very comparable to the popular Bach 36, it is a real insider tip among connoisseurs and professionals.

The instrument is probably from around 1990 and has just been serviced by us.

What makes this Yamaha trombone special:

  • Great sounding instrument for all styles with good intonation.
  • The train runs fine. No chrome loss.
  • This instrument has a cylindrical slide with .525" (13.34mm) S-bore. The bell is Ø 8.5" (216mm)
  • Yellow brass bell, yellow brass outer slides.
  • For the train I recommend Slide-O-Mix Rapid Comfort.
  • The serial number is 201XXX.

Condition of this 645 after intensive testing:

  • The train runs fine. No chrome loss.
  • The tuning slide is freely movable.
  • Rubber stopper is available.
  • Stop felt is available.
  • The instrument is in excellent technical and acoustic condition.
  • The paint is heavily used.
  • The handles are well preserved.
  • The instrument was recently overhauled by us and is now perfectly playable.
I am a professional musician myself and have tested this trombone thoroughly and found it to be flawless. That is why we offer a 2-year guarantee.

Accessories included:

  • The instrument comes with the original Yamaha case.

Recommendation from me as a professional musician:

  • This YSL-645 is an affordable entry into the world of premium trombones.
  • The instrument should be cleaned regularly from the inside, e.g. with a Reka care set.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it possible to play the instruments in the store?

– Yes, during opening hours or by appointment in our shop with workshop in Mölln.

I have no way of coming to Mölln. Can I still play the instruments?

– Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to place a normal order. Then you have a 30-day right of return after receiving the goods and can test the instrument at your leisure at home, in class or at a rehearsal. Shipping and returns are free for you in Germany anyway. If you still don't want to order, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Who is behind Elbblech?

– That's me, Felix Eilers, a professional trombonist and managing director. Instrument maker Danilo Neun works in the workshop and in sales in our shop in Mölln. We are also supported by our partner workshops "Trompetentobi".

Is it possible to contact you by telephone?

– Yes, please feel free to contact me via this page if you have something to offer.

Are the instruments delivered with a mouthpiece?

- New instruments are always delivered with a mouthpiece. Used instruments are not, in most cases. We have a large selection of mouthpieces and are happy to advise you individually when purchasing a mouthpiece.

Are the instruments playable straight away?

– As a rule, all instruments are serviced and/or serviced in a workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not immediately playable, I write this clearly in the item description.

Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, we have been shipping worldwide for many years.

Is it safe to buy from Elbblech?

– My customers say: “Yes!”. On Ebay, for example, I have over 500 positive reviews, 100% of which are positive and 5 stars in all subcategories. We now enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide for our services and products.
